Conryn Design ArchitectsNick Mills set up Vision Mill Architects with David Free in 2004 after working in Gloucester for a brief period. This is the second architectural practice that he has set up, the first being Conryn Design Architects, which he established in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1992, on attaining his professional qualifications. By 1995, it had grown into a medium-sized practice employing over 25 people and was undertaking a full range of projects. However, in 2000, due to the deteriorating political and economic situation in the country, he decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. Institute of Architects of ZimbabweNick was a Board Member of the Institute of Architects of Zimbabwe (1995-2000), eventually being elected as its President in 1999. Architects Council Of ZimbabweHe was a Councillor on the Architects Council of Zimbabwe (1995-1999), where he was actively involved in the re-drafting of the Architects Act.Harare Inner City PartnershipHe was also a founding Board Member and Sub-Committee Chairman of the Urban Taskforce, Harare Inner City Partnership (1997-2000), helping to organize the Harare Inner City Challenge Conference and raising finance for the partnership from city property owners. National Housing TaskforceHe was a Board Member and Sub-Committee Chairman of the Research and Environment, National Housing Taskforce (1998-2000).
