• Planning Analytics Engagement Manager and Lead Developer for major FMCG: (9 months) Engagement Manager and Lead Developer for a Promo Planning and CF/Actual Financial P&L system. The solution, which will be used as a template to rollout across Europe, was developed using Planning Analytics (TM1 10.3 cloud) to provide a secure interface for Promotion Planning through to P&L. My role was to drive the client implementation, but also participate in several key project deliverables (requirements, technical design, build, and UAT), plus work with the client to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success.

• Cognos TM1 Lead Developer for IBM (internal): Lead Developer for an IBM initiative to improve the process of tracking “Go to market” resources. The system, called GTM Dynamics, was developed using Cognos TM1 to provide a secure web interface for data entry and a dashboarding, allowing Sector Leads to manage their GTM population over time• Cognos EP/BI/TM1 Lead for HM Government: Lead Cognos specialist within a wider £20m programme of work. A member of the design authority, plus responsible for development of applications, to enable data capture and validation of budget and forecast submissions, as well as reporting on Government Departmental project information. Also managed the development of Mains Estimates, Supplementary Estimates, and Public Expenditure Statistical Analyses reporting, all of which are reports published by HM Treasury• Test Manager for Regulatory Reporting workstream at a UK Bank: Managed off-shore team of testers during the System and System Integration Testing phase for EBA Financial Reporting (FINREP) solution using AxiomSL• Reporting Improvement prototype for a global Oil & Gas company: Managed analysis of an existing report set, tracing report elements back to source, and rationalizing data to provide dashboards and KPIs• Financial Reporting prototype for a leading Financial Services provider: Built a suite of 12 reports to specification to prove Cognos as a strategic replacement to the current system. Successfully presented the prototype to the client’s executive team• Solvency II implementation for a global insurance company: Manual Adjustment and Status Update Team Lead. Managed an off-shore team and client stakeholders during the requirements gathering, creation of Functional and Technical specification documents, and prototype development, paving the way into the build phase of the £10m solvency II project• SQL Development for a Global Tobacco Manufacturer: Created 10 reconciliation reports, used to determine poor data quality

IBM Cognos solution architect, using process modelling knowledge to design and create complex models in Cognos Planning.• Designed, developed, supported and enhanced a custom-built forecasting and budgeting solution for Twinings. Project Sunrise was a global BI implementation to allow Twinings immediate access to planned and actual financial data in the Twinings P&L structure• Established myself as the key design authority and lead developer for Cognos Enterprise Planning at Twinings through successful delivery of 4 full project lifecycle implementations (UK, Switzerland, Australia, North America)• Gathered requirements, built and demonstrated prototypes. Project managed delivery through to productionized solutions• Managed UAT, and delivered training to end users, whilst maintaining a good working relationship with stakeholders at different levels of the business• Developed overnight batch processing (d-list updates, data uploads) which required regular liaisons with the datawarehouse team. Worked closely with the datawarehousing team, through development jobs and packages used to produce source files for Planning and to import published containers• Good understanding of Cognos architecture best practices, application configuration, and managing upgrades• Experience in Cognos BI gained through regularly working in parallel with the BI development team• Managed the whole Business Reporting team in the absence of the team manager• Mentored a new team members recruited to look after the support function of Cognos Enterprise Planning implementations

• Developed, supported and enhanced a custom-built solution for the Corporate Banking division of LloydsTSB, whilst based on client site for 4 months in the City. I also trained the LloydsTSB staff hired to take over the day-to-day running of the helpdesk.• Enhanced reporting capabilities by providing KPIs for ROK Plc (building contractor)• Developed, implemented and supported a BPM Workflow for ROK Plc.• Designed and implemented an ETL/data warehousing solution for British Petroleum.• Took control of the development & support role for LloydsTSB. This included overseeing the relocation of the application server and the organisation and creation of a backup/restore strategy.• Developed packages to create a data load automation tool for a marketing database system, which included involvement in the design, build, test and rollout for LloydsTSB. Also administered the server relocation during the rollout.• Development of a business marketing and campaign segmentation tool. Involvement for whole project lifecycle from the analysis and design phases through to development and implementation for LloydsTSB.• Designed, built, tested and rolled out a bespoke Warehouse Management System for Logisco.• Designed and implemented an ETL/data warehousing solution using a tool called Broadbase, which extracts data from web log files and transforms into OLAP cubes, which are used as the source for a web based front-end. Work included travel to the Netherlands to gather client requirements (KPN), development, testing, implementation and support.• Developed a web content/campaigning tool with web pages and VBScript (with Broadvision) • Managed the office in the absence of Directors
