Three primary responsibilities: • Development and upkeep of BP’s group wide process for project evaluation.• Assurance of project evaluations and investment decisions up to $25 billion in value covering acquisitions, divestments, country entry and the full value chain from exploration, production, transportation, storage, refining and retail.•Training and competency development in economic evaluation of BP staff around the world from the Americas through Europe, Africa and Asia.Company expert in the economic evaluation of energy projects starting with the conversion of real world projects into spreadsheets and the calculation of WACC, discounting cash flows, analysis of risk, real options and project optimization. Subject Matter Expert in the evaluation of operational working capital decisions and long term commercial commitments.

Sales & Contracts Team Leader for oil and gas sales team with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion. Customers included Exxon Mobil, Eon, RWE and BG as well as all of BP’s UK based refineries and chemical plants. I managed a team of six and this team was responsible for deal identification and capture through to billing, invoicing and debt collection. Risk Manager for the long term gas portfolio managing a team of analysts. The team was responsible for analytical support of new and existing gas deals and for formulating the hedging strategy.

Commercial Manager for the Great Yarmouth power plant, ensuring all key commercial permits and contracts were completed including the 15 year gas purchase contract. Part of project team from inititation through Financial Close ($200 million of 3rd party debt raised) to commercial operation. Prior to this I developed the Business Unit’s strategy for Europe and the FSU. This included developing strategic relationships with partners in the power industry and with Government. I worked as the commercial developer on projects across the UK and Eastern Europe.
