My life was forever changed as a result of being a passenger in a DUI car wreck on 8/15/2009 and I’ve learned a lot from it. I shattered my skull in half and suffered a traumatic brain injury and made an impossible recovery and now live a full and purpose-driven life. I share my story with the world in the hopes of saving some lives and keeping people from making a dumb choice with theirs.I'm also a stage 3 cancer survivor who also happens to live with type 1 diabetes. Fitness and health is a huge part of who I am and having had to fight the battle with chemotherapy that so many people lose on a daily basis, it's important that I never lose sight of just how fortunate I am. True, it just flat out sucks having cancer. There are countless negative things that come of it, but if I've learned one thing from my recovery and living with a brain injury, with juvenile diabetes, or cancer, it's that at the end of the day you still have the power to either smile or frown. There is so much power in the way you react to everything and I use my voice and experience to help people to realize that power within themselves.

Sometimes I was placed at the front register, sometimes I was in charge of the drive-thru area, and sometimes I'd have an appointed fixed station, but I'd always have a positive attitude to go along with cultivating a positive team.
