Nick serves as Chief Asset Officer at Easterly Government Properties where he leads the operations, management, leasing, and financial performance of the Easterly REIT portfolio of Class A, mission-critical, commercial properties nationwide. He focuses on optimizing operations to maximize the financial performance of Easterly's existing portfolio and identifying opportunities for growth.Prior to joining Easterly Government Properties, Nick worked in JLL's Washington, DC office where he was a Regional Manager on the GSA National Broker Contract, responsible for providing brokerage services throughout the Mid-Atlantic. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of a team of seasoned real estate professionals, he completed approximately 2.5 million square feet of lease acquisitions with a total lease value of almost $1 billion on behalf of the Government. Prior to working on the GSA NBC, Nick provided real estate and financial advisory services to a diverse array of Government and private sector clients as part of JLL's Public Institutions group. Projects varied greatly in subject and complexity, ranging anywhere from space planning and acquisition strategy development to highest and best use evaluations for specific assets to investment analyses to strategic portfolio restructuring.Nick began his career at the U.S. General Services Administration in the Office of Real Property Asset Management where he conducted overall portfolio analysis on one of the largest and most diverse domestic real estate portfolios (over 9,000 assets totaling approximately 372 million square feet). He drafted and implemented policy and guidance to improve portfolio performance, developed reporting materials for external stakeholders (GAO, OMB and Congress) and partnered with client agencies to create agency-specific strategic real estate portfolio plans.
