I have been an educator for 7 years now, and I have loved the experience. I am now looking outside of public education in order to expand my earning opportunities beyond what is possible in my current position. I have been a team leader for 5 years now, 2 at a Highschool and 3 at a senior high school. I have loved managing a department, analyzing behavioral and academic data for trends, problem solving in real time, and maintaining federally compliant education plans. I take pride in my ability to produce quality work efficiently and clearly as well as my ability to present information in a collaborative environment for both staff members and families that are served through special education. I have the ability to adjust to changes in responsibility quickly, and I handle unexpected and unwelcome events with a positive and solution oriented manner. I am confident in my ability to learn and retain even complex aspects of a job. Learning does not stop for me, and I continue to keep an open mind to adjust my opinions of best practice within a profession.
