About Nickolas Falk, Mlis, Maid
After many years of working in libraries and discovering the joy in providing help, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to be an academic librarian. For me, the aspect of providing help is offering our talents, time and, especially in my case, my creative background. I offer a very creative approach to problem solving and I believe that when I help others I am working for a common good by connecting to others in this way. By working for a common good, connecting to others and offering my talents to others, I feel that I exemplify some of the key attributes that academic librarians should strive to embody.My mission as an academic librarian is to become a strong leader that advances my subject field by being open minded in trying new things, integrating technology and continuing to learn and connect with people.
