Responsible for customer training, internal training and e-learning.

Nick managed we-do-IT’s train the trainer program for a national software rollout at a gas utility. Nick consulted with the client to develop the approach, materials, and training schedule. Working closely with the development team and client stakeholders, Nick was responsible for compiling customer requirements, developing technical training materials and ensuring the developers’ documentation met client standards. Nick was also involved delivering internal training to in-house staff in project management, GIS product training (ESRI, Smallworld and Spatial NET). Nick was also involved with the Microsoft Dynamics HR, Project Management and Finance upgrade developing training materials for internal staff to learn new business processes.

Reporting to the CEO, Nick led the business development, growth and profitability of we-do-IT’s NBN Co accounts: Data, Training and GIS Development. Through successful partner and client management and business performance focus, Nick’s achievements include:• Closed more than $12m worth of projects, while achieving revenue growth of 30% and EBITDA over 20%. • Grew GIS software developers by 30%• Created profitable new businesses from scratch - $4m telecommunication data services business and $150k p.a. training business • Developed new clients with in the NBN Co universe, including tier 1 construction companies.

Nick built a training function at we-do-IT then sold this capability to the NBN construction community training specialists in telco fibre planning tools delivering training to over 1800 NBN sector staff.Nick managed a wide variety of data services projects within NBN Co, from planning and design to construction completions. As Training Manager Nick hired and trained a team of trainers to design and deliver GIS fibre design courses for NBN Co. Nick was able to build an ongoing NBN Training Business Unit through partner relationships with vendors and trusted advisor status with the client. Nick taught daily classes in the Microsoft Office suite specialising in Project Management with MS Project classes achieving certifications in all office suite applications. Nick was sought after for his skills teaching MS Project to construction and design businesses in whole class and individual consulting engagements. Building on Nick’s experience building a school Network Nick was seconded to the Department of Education to roll our network hardware and software to primary and secondary schools across the ACT. Nicks achievements were the deployment of RedHat Linux Proxy Server hardware and software to all Canberra Schools.
