Hello, I'm Nic, a freelance animator and motion designer based in Brooklyn, NY. I believe in making every moment thoughtful, elegant and visually-compelling— even simple ideas can be brought to life in a delightful and engaging way. I believe in the power of collage to transcend time, location, gravity and logic. Animated collage is my primary creative language, and I also love to work in illustration and hand-drawn animation, among other styles. I work in film, motion graphics for commercial projects, and enjoy creating stand-alone animated videos too. I'm also a visual artist, composer, poet and filmmaker whose work spans painting, experimental film, spoken-word albums, animation and multimedia installations. I cartoon about art and technology for the New Yorker, and my first VR film, Flowers & a Switchblade, premiered at Sundance in January 2020 and was featured on Arte TV (French/German Television).
