As a Civil Engineer I was responsible for the preparation of detailed permit and construction documents for medium and high voltage substation projects. My responsibilities ranged from planning, site layout and design, report preparation for permitting purposes, operations and construction management services. My areas of expertise include earthwork grading plans, stormwater management, and oil containment design.

My focus as an Assistant Project Engineer was in civil design and permitting for municipal solid waste (MSW), construction and demolition debris (C&D), land clearing and inert debris (LCID), industrial waste, tire monofills, and coal combustion ash landfills. My responsibilities ranged from planning, facility design, report preparation for permitting purposes, operations and construction management services. My areas of expertise include earthwork grading plans for solid waste disposal facility design, stormwater management, and environmental monitoring.

As an Assistant Project Engineer I was responsible for design, drafting, permitting, and construction observation of municipal solid waste and industrial solid waste landfill projects throughout South Carolina and tire landfill projects throughout Central North Carolina.I was also responsible for design, drafting, permitting, and construction observation of residential and commercial land development projects throughout Central North Carolina.

Performed the Salmonella Mutagenesis Assay on genetically altered strains of Salmonella with common mutagens to compare mutagenicity with traditionally prepared Ames assay tester strains. Research was published in Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis.
