Led a multi-agency team to create a community-based vision for improvements aimed at enhancing the image, safety, and enjoyment of this world-famous street. Construction completed in fall 2014.• Urban design advisor and Planning Department representative to the interagency Better Market Street project—a complete reconstruction of San Francisco’s principal commercial and ceremonial thoroughfare.• Reviewed public projects for compliance with the San Francisco General Plan and assisted with preliminary review of large private development projects.

• Lead Urban Designer for the Broadway Chinatown Streetscape Design. Created urban design concepts and graphics, assisted with development and facilitation of extensive public outreach process, and helped draft and design plan document. • Lead Urban Designer for the redesign of Jefferson Street, Fisherman’s Wharf’s main street. Developed original street redesign concepts and served as urban design advisor to San Francisco Public Works during detailed design phase (Phase One built in 2013, Phase Two currently under construction). • Answered planning-related questions for the general public during bi-weekly shifts at the Department’s Planning Information Center and via frequent facilitation of community workshops and meetings.• Created urban design concepts and graphics and assisted with other duties required to complete complex, team-based, long-range planning projects. Examples include the Fisherman’s Wharf Public Realm Plan, Mission District Streetscape Plan, and Green Connections Network Plan.

Wrote "Mountain View: Then & Now" for Arcadia Publishing. The book chronicles the growth of Mountain View, CA by comparing archival photos of historic locales with modern professional photographs taken by Kimberly Chan Photography. The book was published on October 8, 2012.

Analyzed existing factors and land use policy scenarios for Downtown Berkeley. Assisted with the planning and facilitation of meetings of the 21-person Downtown Area Plan Advisory committee.

Researched and wrote a photographic history of Mountain View, California, for Arcadia Publishing. Published July 5, 2006.

As a high school intern, helped digitize the planning department's archives, researched historic zoning changes and updated any discrepancies on the City's zoning map, and provided general assistance on a variety of department activities.
