About Nick Petronzio
Nick Petronzio is a second generation sculptor, painter and artist that began his career in fine art working under the tutelage of father and artist Tino Petronzio. Coming from an artistic family, his mother Dora, a potter & his sister Nina, a furniture and interior designer, the artist discovered his calling at an early age.Acclaimed for his versatility in style and materials, Nick has produced works that range from the reproduction of a Pietro Cipriani bronze sculpture for the J. Paul Getty Museum to several fiberglass Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Rex and Pluto for Disney's theme parks world-wide. In addition to interactive and educational sculpture work Nick has produced for museums, the artist has also created key sculptures for Darren Aranofsky's "The Fountain" and Rob Cohen's "The Mummy; Tomb of the Dragon Emperor". With over 20 years of experience in sculpture fabrication, Nick has proven to be a specialist within the fine art, design and entertainment industries. He works closely with art directors as well as renowned artists such as: Vincent Capraro 'Bull fighter', Yayoi Kusama 'Hymn of Life Tulips', Erin Lareau 'Walk of the Glass Slippers' and Jim Carrey 'Ayla', 'Martian' and 'Ceramicus' to bring their artistic visions to fruition.THE ART OF NICK PETRONZIOThe artist's fascination with the human experience, spirit and interconnectedness of all things in nature combined with his love for the human form and found objects has inspired him to create dynamic and sensitive works that explore mankind's broad emotional range and life cycle. This inspiration has lead the artist to create works of art that exude a timeless quality.Nick recently installed his monumental stainless steel sculpture 'S W A Y' which is on permanent display at The Waldorf Astoira Hotel in Beverly Hills CA.He was also recently commissioned by The Godfrey Hotel in Hollywood, to design and fabricate two sculptures and a bike rack (Spring 2020)
