Nick Planson grew up in New Gloucester, Maine and studied at Hebron Academy and Columbia University. His career began in clean energy, first in demand response and energy efficiency with ConsumerPowerline, then in solar and wind farm development, construction, operation, and asset management with Con Edison Development. He next led Planson International’s sales of IT equipment to the UN and global non-profits. Along the way he volunteered with Empower Generation, Amigos de las Americas, Engineers without Borders, The Manna Energy Foundation, and several gun safety, anti-racism and decarceration groups. His interests include racial justice, environmental stewardship, and outdoor adventuring of all kinds.
