Developed and maintained a custom web application used to facilitate everything needed to ship by rail using .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. The application tracked rates, shipments, railcar equipment and management and accounting for hundreds of clients.Lead a team to update and convert a desktop VB based application to a C# .NET and javascript web app used for costing routes and comparing them to federal rail shipping rate data. Used by many major clients to negotiate rates with rail carriers.Helped design and rewrite previously mentioned web application to a more modern architecture using .NET Core, GraphQL and React based solutions.Reduced costs of polling an API using a REST interface with caching to a SOAP based web API. Assisted in the design and implementation of a Windows Mobile Point of Sales system for bingo halls that interfaced with the main POS and allowed players to buy packages from their seats in UK bingo halls. Converted a a legacy Foxpro application to .NET C# and WPF. Wrote data converters to transform XML into custom binary formats for handheld devices. Assisted in the design and implementation of a video raffle system to help bingo halls activity. The application would interface with the player data of who bought in, pick a random winner and communicate to a flashboard via TCP sockets to display the winners and prizes.Wrote a Texas Holdem’ Keno like game in XNA that communicates with server for game information and displays game on a large screen TV.Skills used: C#, WPF, MS SQL Server, Windows Forms, XNA.

Worked for EDS on a project called BAM, a new browser based system for the Secretary of the State to replace the current program being used to issue driver licenses. Updated Test Unit cases using Microsoft’s Visual Studio Unit Testing.Based on ASP.NET, C# and Ajax.Helped with several hundred defects and issues.

Contracted for the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. Worked on a new State Aid payment system that pays out 12 billion dollars in state funds to public school districts across the state. The application uses MSSQL, .NET 2.0 Nunit and O/R mappers to help calculate the payments. Designed and implemented a system for Foxpro files to be imported into Microsoft SQL Server by the client.Wrote unit and functional tests for the payment classes to be tested in Nunit. Rewrote Education YES! school performance website used by schools to rate their performance for Michigan School Accountability AYP.

Worked on a large EDS project called Interchange, a state solution for Medicaid provider tracking and billing. Written in c# for the portal DotNetNuke. Unit testing was performed with tests written using Nunit and MSSQL. The main database was Oracle 9.0.Worked on adding National Provider Id to the core application. A large task needing to be completed in a short time frame. Needed to coordinate with large amounts of people in order to finalize requirements, and take the solution from design mockup to finished product.Worked in a large 100+ team environment.

Maintained and produced new development on hosted commerce websites of Best Sellers, Summit Partners, Chandon and Growing Families. The websites are a variety of JSP, Java, ASP, .NET, and SQL.Developed new reporting website in .NET for AAA to be run across five states.Redesigned a new shopping cart in ASP for BrookStone’s website.

As the main software developer on the State of Michigan’s Central Paternity Registry, I was the key liaison for soliciting and prioritizing requirements from our customers. After the requirements were prioritized in conjunction with our management staff, I was responsible for all facets of the software development life cycle to see the requirements into a production environment. The application was a three-tier system with a presentation layer of ASP, DHTML and Javascript, a business layer of VB6 MTS components, and a data layer of MS SQL stored procedures.Intimately involved in the design of the State of Michigan’s Birth Registry System specifications using the UML modeling concepts. Created object diagrams, flow diagrams, use cases to map and meet the clients needs for the program. The application was implemented in JSP/Java and Oracle.Managed a small network of production and development servers used to maintain the Central paternity Registry.

Maintained several legacy and highly important web applications for GM, Ford and Visteon. I improved and redesigned the database and ASP code where needed to make the application more stable, faster and useable.Was part of a design and coding team to implement a large knowledge base and training repository for Ford based on ASP, COM and XML. Designed and implemented database transfer scripts for a large complex database. The scripts had to be optimized to run with in a certain time frame.
