Software EngineerPlanet Bingo May 2008 - Aug 2011Assisted in the design and implementation of a Windows Mobile Point of Sales system for bingo halls that interfaced with the main POS and allowed players to buy packages from their seats in UK bingo halls. Converted a a legacy Foxpro application to .NET C# and WPF. Wrote data converters to transform XML into custom binary formats for handheld devices. Assisted in the design and implementation of a video raffle system to help bingo halls activity. The application would interface with the player data of who bought in, pick a random winner and communicate to a flashboard via TCP sockets to display the winners and prizes.Wrote a Texas Holdem’ Keno like game in XNA that communicates with server for game information and displays game on a large screen TV.Skills used: C#, WPF, MS SQL Server, Windows Forms, XNA.

Worked on a new State Aid payment system that pays out 12 billion dollars in state funds to public school districts across the state. The application uses MSSQL, .NET 2.0 Nunit and O/R mappers to help calculate the payments. Designed and implemented a system for Foxpro files to be imported into Microsoft SQL Server by the client.Wrote unit and functional tests for the payment classes to be tested in Nunit. Rewrote Education YES! school performance website used by schools to rate their performance for Michigan School Accountability AYP. -
