My responsibilities include planning, organizing, controlling and directing programs to ensure campus safety and security needs are met at the highest standard. I work directly with the Principal to maintain expectations and standards for student behavior on campus.I provide daily supervision, training and monitoring of Campus Supervisors. I identify the need for related services and develop contracts with providers/agencies to ensure student and campus safety needs are met. I also assure the School Wide Comprehensive Safety Plan is in place and all essential staff are trained.

My primary responsibilities include investigating California Education code violations that may result in the suspension or expulsion of the student. I am also responsible for the disposition of daily classroom misconducts written by teachers and staff. I was responsible for the creation, establishment, and day-to-day operation of the on-campus intervention classroom, which includes various alternatives to suspension. I schedule and implement all safety protocols, including fire, earthquake, and shooter on campus drills. My safety tasks include editing the Comprehensive School-wide Safety Plan every year and writing the Administrative Safety Plan for all district and site administrators. I have been responsible for sending out attendance letters, attending SARB hearings, and conducting home visits for students with attendance issues. I work with students that are migrant, Latino, special education, Homeless, Foster, and students with 504 plans every day. I also help oversee a team of 15 Campus Supervisors Additionally, I have been the Summer School Principal where I was responsible for approximately 100 certificated and classified staff members and over 1, 200 students. In 2013, I was named Classified Employee of the Year.

My primary responsibilities included the investigation of narcotic and gang related crimes. I worked with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials on a daily basis. I was also responsible with the coordination of local "gang sweeps". As a two-time member for the local narcotics task force I was the case agent of or participated in over 300 narcotic-related investigations including three federal cases, two of which I was the co-case agent. During my tenure as a narcotic investigator I was named a Special Federal Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) charged solely with investigating narcotic crimes enumerated in the United States Code. As a gang investigator, I facilitated monthly intelligence meetings with other local gang investigators. I have multiple letters of commendation from both my own department as well other local and state law enforcement agencies. Because of my unique ability to build consensus I was often charged with the duty of coordinating both small and large gang-related operations with local and state law enforcement agencies. I am widely considered a narcotics and gang expert by both my peers as well as the Court. During my nine years as a probation officer I was also charged with educating the public on the dangers of narcotics and gangs. I have given numerous gang presentations to various community organizations including teachers, parents, and the general public. In addition to my gang and narcotic expertise, I am also proficient in juvenile law including education code. I have logged hundreds of hours in both adult and juvenile Court as a Court Officer. I am also considered an expert in drug use and abuse and am able to determine the signs and symptoms of thereof.
