With the evolution of internet and mobile auto sales, as well as the pressing adaptations CarMax needed to make to meet the needs of our customers due to COVID-19, CarMax has introduced new methods to purchase cars in a more streamlined, simple purchase process. As a CXC, I worked remotely as part of the Customer Experience Center, answering phone calls and managing web leads daily supporting customers across all 225 CarMax locations across the United States. I was responsible for guiding customers through their shopping journey, as they traditionally would in-store, but from the comfort and safety of their own homes. All duties in this role are essentially equal to that of a floor sales consultant, including giving customers the same iconic experience we provide at the store level. With the introduction of Curbside and Home Delivery options, I was responsible for making arrangements for customers that desired to avoid store interactions.
