Developed interior architectural concepts and standards for branded experiences including a cross-country electric vehicle reveal tour, future retail designs and company offices.Worked with a fully remote team of architectural designers and collaborated with digital, UX and vehicledesigners to push concepts while defining and refining the company’s rapidly evolving brand.Created a guide to brand standards in the built environment as a roadmap for contractors to design Canoo-branded space. This included sample interior design schemes, graphic standards, and material specs with an emphasis on sustainability requirements. Performed extensive research for prospective projects including a full re-design of company headquarters aimed at integrating a post-covid work culture and testing experience design concepts.

Responsible for all company design: from market analysis to product concept and engineering.Under my direction the design team was instrumental in the ability of Uhuru to secure a business partnership with Steelcase, and resulted in company wide sales increase of over 90% in the 2019 fiscal year.Built, directed and managed a team of ten domestic and international design and art personnel who could rapidly produce concepts, products and content.Maintained constant dialogue with fabricators across our supply chains to quickly update designs, and telegraph changes as necessary to our marketing and e-comm platforms. Oversaw the creation of marketing materials, web collateral, and customer experience including packaging and assembly instructions.Central in the development of Uhuru’s first e-commerce platform: from planning to UI design and day-to-day management after launch.Worked closely with the e-comm development team to plan and produce all digital content.Took-on side projects offered to the company outside of my official job description, including design for a 110 seat restaurant at the American Museum of Natural History’s new addition, opening in 2022.

Researched, wrote and organized the New York City’s Schools - A History and Guide to Rehabilitation; a 450+ page reference guide for the NYC School Construction Authority and it’s consultants regarding their obligations to the NY State Historic Preservation Office.Led team on publicly funded building rehabilitation projects with budgets over $20 million from inception to completion.Researched and produced reports for approval of design schemes and rehabilitation strategies for city agencies and historic preservation/landmarks approval.
