Manages and oversees projects as directed by the Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems (NANOOS) and University of Washington. Assist the Executive Director with coordinating federal funding and identifying other development opportunities; facilitating aspects of NANOOS’s governance structure including expert teams on technical and/or scientific oceanographic themes; providing guidance on how to improve ocean observing systems with local, regional, national, and global partners; engaging stakeholder networks; and executing internal projects and proposals. Core duties include cultivating relationships with federal, state, local, Tribal, public/private, and nonprofit communities; developing strategic documents and briefing materials; and growing and optimizing the reach and impact of NANOOS data, products, and tools.
