CurrentProvide career development services to students and alumni on topics such as resume and cover letter writing; interview and job/internship search techniques; and choosing a major/career. Coordinate the development of projects and programs. Deliver class presentations/workshops to a diverse range of audience sizes and backgrounds.Key Accomplishments:• Built and improved office from the ground up, including areas such as services, resources and technology, along with creating strategic direction and vision of the Career Development Center.• Successfully demonstrate that Career Development does an outstanding job providing excellent customer service and assisting students/alumni with improving their career knowledge. (see attached document). • Integrate career development and career readiness principles into academics and classes. • Developed and implemented specific programs and services to address student needs/interests, including targeted workshops, networking events and career fairs for different academic areas.• Assisted in creating Diversity and Inclusion Resources geared towards career development. • Created, manage and utilize technology to enhance services, resources and communication with students, staff, faculty, administration, alumni and employers including Career Development website (www.gmercyu.edu/cd), social media (Twitter/Instagram: @gmercyucareers), YouTube (www.youtube.com/gmercyucareers), and Handshake. • Utilize creativity to develop and enhance services and resources, including in the areas of employer engagement, academic affairs integration, and increasing student usage. • Developed and coordinate the alumni Career Outcomes Survey to track post-graduate information.• Nominated for the Tender Courage Award by the Mission and Values Committee for exemplifying the ideals of integrity, respect, service, and social justice at the university.
