In January of 2017 I picked up all of the Beechcraft civilian propeller products. I am responsible for managing all sustaining and new certification projects for all Cessna and Beechcraft propeller aircraft (piston and turbo props). This includes sustaining activities for the Skycatcher (C162), Skyhawk (C172), Skylane (C182/T182), Stationair (C206/T206), Bonanza (G36), Corvallis TTx (C240), Baron (G58), Caravan (C208), Grand Caravan (C208B), and King Air models (B90/B200/B300) and other out of production models. Additionally, I’m responsible for the management and execution of the flight test program for the upcoming new Denali certification program.

Responsible for training, equipping, and deploying Assistant Managers and Aircraft Coordinators/Controllers to the various flight test programs throughout the company (large jets, small jets, single engines, government programs, and as of June 2014, to support civilian and military Beechcraft programs). The primary purpose is to provide consistency in methods, metrics, and tools across all programs so that programs can be executed in the most efficient manner possible. In addition, I provide strategic leadership as a forward-looking planner/contributor/program management expert, and develop and empower direct reports to meet company goals.

In May of 2013 I added a second “hat.” In addition to my duties as the Flight Test Program Manager, I assumed responsibilities for managing all sustaining and new certification projects for all Cessna single engine aircraft (piston and turbo props). This includes sustaining activities for the Skycatcher (C162), Skyhawk (C172), Skylane (C182/T182), Stationair (C206/T206), Corvallis TTx (C240), Caravan (C208), and Grand Caravan (C208B), and other out of production models. Additionally, I’m responsible for the management and execution of the flight test program for the Diesel Skylane JT-A (J182T) new certification program.

I am currently working as the data lead for the new Citation Ten certification effort, while simultaneously working to complete my Organizational Delegation Authority Unit Member authorization (ODA UM).

I worked the expansion of performance data for the Model 680 Citation Sovereign.

I managed the Cessna side of the overall flight test program for the Winglet Technology Inc. winglet installation STC for the Model 750 Citation X.I managed the overall flight test sustaining activities for the Model 750 Citation X.I was the assistant manager for another new project which was cancelled in 2009 due to the economic conditions of the day.

Responsible for all aspects of aircraft configuration of the 3 flight test articles, maintaining conformity, scheduling modifications and downtimes, planning long and short-range testing schedules, and primary point of contact for all coordination efforts between engineering, shop, and quality. I was instrumental in guiding the program to accomplish Type Certificate within 9 days of our internal stretch goal.Lead Coordinator for the Citation CJ3 certification program (2002-2004)Lead test coordinator for the CJ3 initial certification program. Responsible for all aspects of aircraft configuration of the 3 flight test articles, maintaining conformity, scheduling modifications and downtimes, planning long and short-range testing schedules, and primary point of contact for all coordination efforts between engineering, shop, and quality. In addition to my normal work duties, I lead the team that designed and implemented the engineering-wide Component Tracking System (CTS) at Cessna.Phase 1 of CTS was implemented on 06/06/2002 and it created a revolutionary system that tracks the configuration of all parts on Cessna experimental test articles. Phase 2 of CTS was implemented on 08/25/2003 and it created a revolutionary approach to leveraging the data collected in Phase 1 to track reliability data, chain of custody, and conformity information. This phase was in direct response to a FAA directive requesting Cessna improve our data tracking in order to continue to receive the 50% reduction in Function and Reliability testing hours. This one capability directly contributed to a 1.5 - 3.5 week reduction in the duration of all new certification programs. Phase 3 of CTS was implemented on 07/06/2004 and it created an evolutionary approach to improve the data entry process for Phases 1 and 2. This phase was in direct response to the voice of the customer inputs to improve the data entry process. This Phase further reduced the data entry requirements, provided increased data integrity, and further reduced the amount of time required for experimental shop personnel to enter the required data.All told, the CTS averages savings for Cessna in excess of 14,000 man-hours (6.8 man-years) annually, and millions of dollars on every new aircraft certified. An additional unquantifiable benefit the system created was the ability to query data and produce reports in a matter of seconds that previously required weeks of research and manual searching to gather.
