For the past 16 years, I have played an integral part in the development of a successful new department focused on human resources. I managed the complete hiring process for new drivers, owner-operators and the staff who support my department and am responsible for duties such as screening resumes, determining qualified candidates, interviewing, training and leading orientation for new hires through the on-boarding process. I understand the importance of maintaining data integrity and ensure due diligence in keeping accurate and updated personnel files. I have built and continue growing a department that serves as an essential tool that helps maintain the livelihood of the company. I have built my career in the field of human resources and have received a certificate of achievement from Lipscomb University for the successful completion of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Learning System course. Over the span of my HR career, I have played a significant role in all aspects of hiring from the recruitment process to the exit interview. Additionally, I have more than a decade of SEO experience as the creator, sole contributor, and editor of two blog sites, The Dadabase and Family Friendly Daddy Blog. I have regularly written SEO-rich articles to promote Lexus, Toyota, and Primrose Schools. As a freelance writer, I also serve as a ghost writer, creating promotional articles for companies.After 6 months of my website's official inception in September 2009, I was published in American Baby magazine. That exposure led to Parents magazine recruiting me to become their official “daddy blogger” with The Dadabase. For the next 3 years, I was responsible for posting 6 new publications per week, each consisting of a minimum of 400 words.
