As the Director of Engineering at GenUI, I was responsible for leading the direction of the engineering teams. Similar to Datapath IFC, this project was also built using Blazor Web Assembly and hosted on Azure.In 2021, I led an initiative to implement the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) starter kit and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for advanced makers in our internal Power Platform projects. As a senior software developer, I was responsible for architecting, developing, and deploying B2C and B2B E-commerce web applications. During my tenure at Emerchandise, superherostuff.com grew over 10 times, achieving revenue of over $12 million in 2014.I encountered several interesting challenges during my time there. My initial task for superherostuff.com involved migrating the legacy codebase into a contemporary dynamic web application architecture. This proved to be particularly challenging as it was crucial to maintain the site's SEO by servicing legacy URLs. The E-commerce platform also needed to support both desktop and mobile devices from a single maintainable codebase. Ultimately, we achieved this by heavily customizing an open-source E-commerce platform (nopCommerce). Additionally, I was assigned the task of migrating multiple disparate line of business desktop applications (CMS, ERP, and OMS) into a unified web application. This allowed the business team, customer service, and content team to manage superherostuff.com from a single portal. During my time at Microsoft, I was contracted to update the report viewer web application in SQL Server 2008 R2 reporting services. This involved migrating to non-table-based HTML and updating the styling to reflect contemporary style guides for SQL Server. I was also responsible for updating the ASP.NET ReportViewer control for reporting services.I dealt with the localization of the control, enabling both LTR and RTL support. A significant portion of the project involved coding the ReportViewer control to ensure it supported both Quirks and Standards modes in a variety of web browsers.

As a developer at Foretel, I redesigned an ASP.NET CRM application following a series of summative usability studies. I designed and developed modules for legacy VB / C++ call center applications. Additionally, I designed and developed a Case Management System for a forensic accounting firm using a user-centric development process. This project utilized techniques such as personas, use cases, and task analysis to rescue a failing project. The system was implemented using ASP.NET and SQL Server. I also designed and developed the user interface of a reporting portal for a "company culture" survey. That project was implemented using SQL Server reporting and analysis services, as well as ASP.NET.I was tasked with conducting a usability evaluation of a client's pre-existing web application to provide benchmarks for future bespoke development work, leveraging the skills I had acquired at Colonies Networks.

I also created reusable site features in C# as custom ASP.NET controls. I managed the conversion of the main Colonies platform from ASP.net 1.1 to 2.0 to leverage newer ASP.NET features. I directed the migration of the database from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 and updated the Data Access Layer (DAL) to align with these changes. I also configured and customized Umbraco CMS to facilitate the management of legacy websites.
