Over the past nine years, I have taught several intro and advanced level art courses at a private high school of about 425 students. These courses include film photography and darkroom development, digital photography, video & animation, graphic design, painting and drawing. I have had the opportunity to develop and reshape each of these courses to my preference and was responsible for adding the video and animation course to the art curriculum. In addition to teaching, I am a dorm parent, a member of the technology and multicultural committees, and the head coach for the JV baseball team. I am very actively involved with my own art making and professional development as well. After my first year, I was awarded a grant to travel to Germany in order to see an international art fair called "dOCUMENTA". I also participated in the TICA, (Teacher Institute in Contemporary Art) summer program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I completed a course on art and technology. I am a member of the Society of Photographic Education and have attended the conference two years in a row.
