Nick is a consultant in the Risk Assurance practice of PwC. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and has more than 7 years of experience assessing business process and information systems controls and security with a heavy focus on Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle GRC. Nick is responsible for the delivery of Oracle audit and advisory services around the management of systems and process risks, including evaluating information technology and application-based controls; assessing the effectiveness of existing Oracle information security and security strategies; assessing the quality of systems delivery; and evaluating business change management procedures for various large companies. He has been a part Oracle GRC Suite implementations in both Oracle EBS 11i and R12 environments. Nick also provides Oracle controls optimization services, both financially and operationally, to clients with a focus on leveraging system functionality.More recently, Nick has been a part of a Sub-ledger Accounting implementation team, implementing this functionality for a large communications company. As a member of an audit team, my roles were geared toward business process testing with public/SEC and private clients in the utility, retail, and manufacturing industries. As a consultant, I also worked with clients to develop their controls and prepare them for audits throughout the implementation lifecycle. I have also led the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing and End-User training for the global deployment of an online collaboration tool. More recently, I have been partnering on an IT Audit cleanup, where we are using the audit from past years to clean through any issues that existed, as well as develop more inclusive and audit-friendly processes. I worked side by side with a CISM/CISA Manager to develop test plans and risk control matrixes (using COSO and COBIT), narratives, and complete rounds of testing controls to help companies be SOX compliant. Personally created an audit tool used to determine Segregation of Duties conflicts based on define activities learned from the Big Four firms. This tool was then used to clean up conflicts, create new responsibilities to mitigate production access, and ultimately relieve SOD stress on the ERP environment. I also have been working with teams configuring the Receivables, Credit Management, and Order Management systems and helping to stabilize the Oracle environment and train end-users on new customizations/setups that were made during our project. I also was the team lead on creating an accurate depiction of the Customer Master for a major manufacturing company, where it had previously been incorrect, and then put together a training manual to train customer service/finance/sales/IT teams on the correct Customer Master setup.
