For over 20 years, I have worked with the world's largest carriers and broadband networks, creating and bringing them innovative solutions to better manage their networks, helping them transition to next generation access technologies such as 5G, and help them migrate and secure applications and systems to the cloud. Having initially built one of Montreal's first successful large scale Internet Service Providers from the ground up, I aligned my skills and focus on migrating large carriers from analog dial-up infrastructure to broadband through large scale aggregation platforms on early DSLAM/BRAS, CMTS, and 2G wireless data platforms.As my career progressed, I joined Sandvine early in its startup phase as a technical hire to lead the company's Sales Engineering team and applied technical leadership to the Global sales organization. Key contributions included critical traffic management feature developments and many global Tier 1 account wins. I was later promoted to Director of Sales Engineering for the Americas with subject matter expertise in the areas of Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Traffic policy Control, Security, and Policy Charging across broadband network types including fixed, wireless, and satellite technologies.In 2008, I founded Bering Media Inc and acted as its Chief Technology Officer and Director. In this successful foray into online advertising technology, I led technical development, as well as authored and managed Intellectual Property on the company's core technology. I applied technical foresight to implement a comprehensive vision of a successful, unique, privacy enhanced, hyperlocal advertising technology that lead to the ultimate acquisition of the company by a large international agency.From 2012, in my role returning as Vice President Office of CTO (OCTO) reporting to the CTO at Sandvine, I lead the company's strategic vision with an accomplished global team of senior technologists always projecting the CTO vision with global customers, driving the company's Active Network Intelligence portfolio, 5G strategy, and guiding innovation in the solutions roadmap. Fully bilingual, and a seasoned world traveler, I currently reside in Mississauga, Ontario where I continually seek new challenges to engage with other professionals and bring emerging and exciting technologies to the marketplace.
