About Nick Strugar

I'm hard working, self sufficient, and organized but what really makes me the engineer that I am is my attitude. I'm always willing to try new things and expand my skill sets. When I make mistakes, I own up to them and put systems in place that will prevent me from making them again. One skill I've been developing is root cause analysis which I've found to be a great tool not only in the work place but in life as well. I strive to make my coworkers so much more than coworkers and empower them to make positive changes.At home I spend much of my time with my wife and son although some of the time I dedicate to my small furniture business I started in order to pay off student debt. Like most men this side of retirement I feel like I can never get enough fishing time in the summer and when fall comes, I can never seem to get enough time in chasing elk around the mountains of North Idaho. When I got temporarily let go from my Engineering job due to a slow season, I decided to take my business to the next level until I can find my way back into.

  • Launched AMC's first Assembly line and improved its efficiency by over 400% during my 3 years at AMC
  • Introduced a pad printing operation to AMC’s production capabilities. This project had a 1 year ROI and added an additional $50-$75K to their income annually
  • Introduced a CNC Router to improve ergonomics for operators and lower risk of injury. The CNC Router also allows AMC to build quality fixtures in-house for their customers creating an average of $5000 in additional.
  • Played an integral role in moving the company from one location to the next
  • Brought over 30 corrective actions to completion preventing all 30 of those problems from ever happening again
