Pod People is a social networking application for podcasts. I used python web scraping libraries to build a database (using PostgreSQL) of the most popular podcasts on the iTunes directory, with all associated episodes. The back-end of the application is a REST API built using the Django Rest Framework. The front end is a SPA built using React, styling done with SASS/SCSS.Please visit at podpeople.app !

Assisted the fixed asset accounting team on an ERP software conversion project. Created user documentation and tutorials for various fixed asset reports. Performed tests on the system's internal controls and interfaced with consultants and systems analysts to resolve defects. Created workflow documentation for the new system and helped the general ledger team update the chart of accounts.

Oversaw the purchasing and recording-keeping functions at a campus research laboratory. Ordered supplies and equipment on behalf of researchers and tracked subsequent shipments. Maintained file of invoices and submitted receipts to central office. Handled products returns and vendor issues. Helped head scientist organize and submit research articles to the National Institute of Health online database.

With my co-instructor, designed the 20-week program curriculum and $50,000 annual budget for an after-school photography program at a Chicago Public High School.
