During my time with the Salt Lake City Council, I have advanced from an entry level constituent liaison position, to a Senior Policy Analyst. My current roles include working as a Senior Policy Analyst as well as managing the Council’s constituent liaison team.Policy AnalystAs an analyst, I provide the Council professional review of issues related to urban planning, zoning, housing, economic development, transportation and open space. I am responsible for analyzing complex issues and providing accurate in-depth research that is used to help formulate and inform the Council’s policy decisions. I am responsible to work collaboratively with citizens, property and business owners, the City’s Administration and other local governments and agencies. An integral component of my work is to coordinate and manage complex issues with many different stakeholders. Constituent Liaison Team LeadAs the team lead for the Council’s constituent liaisons, I am responsible for training and managing my team to ensure constituent issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner with respect and diligence.

The Shipley Group is a nationally-recognized training and consulting firm, which specializes in governmental, educational, and environmental contracts. During my time with Shipley I worked for the public involvement division where I assisted with the facilitation of public meetings and served as a team leader for the content analysis team. My team was responsible for processing and analyzing thousands of letters from the public regarding government policies. I was responsible to properly catalog each letter, insure that the concerns of the public were identified, acknowledged, and recorded. My team routinely met difficult deadlines and exceeded industry standards.
