CurrentAs an advisor to the intelligence community, the Department of Defense (DoD), and commercial clients, I drive information assurance and cybersecurity strategies, roadmaps, programs, and solutions. I partner with client executives and technology teams to uncover and mitigate capability gaps, cyber risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. I also manage key cyber partnerships within DoD Agencies and high-level, public and private sector officials.🔷 KEY ENGAGEMENTS► Neutralized a client’s security threats and reduced risk to within its risk tolerance by increasing security controls 20% and implementing patching and tuning. Also validated client’s next-generation security architecture plans. ► Aligned a client with NIST and ISO cybersecurity standards and strengthened the confidence of client executives in our team by remediating gaps and vulnerabilities to meet the Authorizing Official’s 30% security goal.► Reduced a client’s vulnerabilities 45% to an acceptable risk position and met government standards, working across the client’s enclaves having differing security classifications and data protection requirements.► Equipped a client to modernize the risk management framework security controls by analyzing 122 security control use cases and creating a top 20 list, security-specific definitions, and 13 class categories.🔷 OVERALL SUCCESSES► Navigated multiple clients to cybersecurity certifications and accreditations, advising on information systems security engineering and cybersecurity solutions.► Built multiple clients’ information security and compliance programs from the ground up, positioning them for maximum protection in the evolving threat landscape.► Identified security architecture risks in on-premise and cloud-based systems through architecture reviews. ► Enabled the discovery, analysis, and communication of security risks to business executives by designing procedures, using the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
