Responsible for the management and direction of all aspects of daily, event and post event cleaning operations including facility inspections to meet quality assurance standards within a cross-functional work environment.• Direct cleaning staff in preparing facilities for the start of each racing season and maintaining grounds throughout the year at Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga. Scope of work includes the cleaning of luxury suites, offices, grandstand seating, facilities, parking lots, first aid areas, backstretch living quarters and all public areas• Supervise facilities staff at Saratoga including grounds work and general landscaping, painting, special event set-up/breakdown and coordinated maintenance work orders with on-site trades (electricians, plumbers and carpenters)• Responsible for P&L report and development of $5.5M budget• Responsible for hiring, training and scheduling of all employees• Managed union and non-union multi-cultural workforce of over 130 employees as well as handle labor relations including comprehensive understanding of CBA and MOA language and terms• Actively research procurement of new equipment and cleaning supplies to increase efficiency and reduce costs• Monitor inventory and monthly ordering of supplies for active tracks and create itemized listings for requisitions and annual vendor contract bidding • Manage vendor contracts including chemical and supply companies, waste hauling, uniform services, fuel services and industrial machine maintenance contractor• Complete payroll for employees using ADP e-time system on a weekly basis• Create and maintain administrative databases, reports and spreadsheets to maximize efficiency• Member of Executive Safety Task Force which convenes to improve workplace safety and reduce workers compensation and personal injury claims.
