He came in person to my desk, pulled up a chair and said he ‘figured it was urgent’ and quickly provided all the information and explanations I needed. This is how I first met Nick. I also saw that Nick was recognized by his colleagues and customers for his service orientation and accountability. When a fellow colleague needed a back up for a project he volunteered to take a lead role on which I was managing, he soon elected Nick as his right hand to serve in his absence. When we needed someone to play our Company Mascot on the day of a 3,500 person event, Nick came to the rescue once again and identified an alternate resource immediately. Innovative: Since my time at Daikin, Nick has continued to contribute beyond the scope of his role, 3-D printing masks during the COVID pandemic and more. He has a true passion for engineering and is constantly learning and applying his knowledge to solve ‘the impossible.’ Humble: I am struck by the fact that Nick is very humble considering that his capabilities and drive far surpass the norm.
