Joined the company as head of operations in November of 2014 and named CEO in April 2015 to help company through a period of intense transition. During my tenure managed through exit of the principal shareholder from an operating role with the company, unwinding of a merger, seeking an acquirer, and planning for consolidation of the business to its major market office in Washington D.C. Ownership was transferred to key employees.

A WPP, plc (LON:WPP) company, I was CFO for GroupM's search and social media agency offices across the U.S. During my tenure we successfully merged GroupM’s search and social media assets in the U.S. and Canada into one unit with $1b of billings, over $100m in fee revenue, and 450 employees in 8 offices. Prior to the merger we grew organically from $17m to $30m of fee revenue in two years while continuing to grow profits. I led development, execution, and presentation of all the planning and measurement models used to guide growth and the multiple system and process initiatives to support the rapid growth. Client-side experience includes executive member of the major client teams including the Proctor & Gamble leadership and pitch team that won the U.S. and Canadian search marketing business. I led the team that scored 8/8 for 3 consecutive years of P&G annual vendor assessments and audits. GroupM consolidated the Boston area HQ business to its shared services group in New York at the end of 2014 ending my tenure.

As Principal, I act as a lead consultant, adviser, mentor, or advisory board member to organizations in growth and change stage. Example engagements include creating a business plans for an angel stage e-commerce company, start-up of digital publishing business in the health and wellness space, and creating marketing strategies for business-to-business marketers.

Accepted newly created position to lead finance and operations, align strategy across business units, and form and execute a 3 year exit strategy. Charged with upgrading planning and reporting to support increasing profitability and attracting a buyer. The 2008 recession led to planning and executing a major downsizing that eliminated most employees and the COO position.

Built and led finance, operations, and IT functions for this venture-backed firm engaged in developing and providing digital and mobile media systems and ad delivery. Investors included Oak Investment Partners and Ignition Partners. Company was sold to Catalina.

JLS and its Direct Response Solutions agency provide marketing, fulfillment, data processing, and postal distribution automation services. As COO of JLS Mailing Services and President of the Direct Response Solutions agency, I was charged with creating and developing measurements and accountability to drive a successful turn-around to profitability. Entered an organization with little financial structure, systems, and measurements in place. Established financial controls and aligned accountability for performance across the organization. Took leadership of the agency services division.

CPS Direct provided integrated multi-media direct marketing solutions for national brands. Evolved my role as CFO into taking on all operating responsibilities advancing to COO and to CEO during my 10-year tenure. Grew a regional company into a marketing solutions provider with a national footprint. Created and drove strategic and operating plans and built new capabilities. Focused on key industry pillars and built a value chain for delivering multi-media one-to-one marketing solutions for major brands. The company's agency business was merged into Universal Wilde to create the Wilde Agency in early 2004.

Provided financial leadership during rapid revenue growth from $35m to $100m. Led the building and integration of operations, finance, service, and systems to meet rapid growth. Led successful sell-side due diligence supporting the sale of the company in 1994.

Joined the company as Controller after finishing graduate school and during Omnicom’s consolidation of acquisitions. Charged with building the finance and operations functions for the Boston, MA office integrating systems and processes with corporate in New York. Boston office was sold to Arnold Advertising in 1991.
