About Nick Vadala

My career journey started in finance and progressed to C-level leadership roles as a CFO, COO, and CEO in businesses ranging from start-up to $1b in sales. I have experience in C-level roles in a mix of private, investor-owned, and public companies. The industry experience I have is in technology, marketing, media, and professional services businesses. The business stage experience I have is as a leader in growth, change, and exit stages. My career work has given me the opportunity to develop strong board, investor, and client presentation skills. And, most importantly, know what it takes to scale and run a business, understand the numbers, and to grow a profitable business. I earned my MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Management. I continue to learn and help companies grow through my engagement with Suffolk University as Executive in Residence and Director of the SEED consulting clinic at the Suffolk Center for entrepreneurship.

Prior to the merger we grew organically from $17m to $30m of fee revenue in two years while continuing to grow profits. I led development, execution, and presentation of all the planning and measurement models used to guide growth and the multiple system and process initiatives to support the rapid growth. Client-side experience includes executive member of the major client teams including the Proctor & Gamble leadership and pitch team that won the U.S. and Canadian search marketing business. I led the team that scored 8/8 for 3 consecutive years of P&G annual vendor assessments and audits. GroupM consolidated the Boston area HQ business to its shared services group in New York at the end of 2014 ending my tenure.
