Completed an MSc in Robotics and Automation which includes modules in Automation and Robotics, Interactive Visualisation, Mobile Robotics and Artificial Intelligence as well as having an MSc Project in which I used virtual reality to control a robotic system for asset management purposes.

Leading and developing the new Engineers Without Borders society at the University of Salford

As the Chairman of Salford University Engineers' Union I am responsible for its overall running and management. This involves managing a team of volunteers, putting on numerous and wide ranging events such as presentations and trips, engaging with other organisations such as companies and institutions and working to continuously develop both the society and its members.

It was my job to communicate through the appropriate channels the issues that affect the students and postgraduates within the school of Computing Science and Engineering (CSE). Then making sure that those issues were being dealt with and importantly, supporting the individual Course Reps in their role. This also included effectively communicating to the CSE students those decisions that had been made and affected them. As a part of this role I was also the Library Champion for CSE.

I worked at National Grid for one year as an industrial placement student, where I was placed in the Network Engineering department of the electricity transmission business. Whilst there I was involved in a number of projects, including work on the management of SF6 gas, visualisation of information and the building of a mobile communications device, as well being the process owner for a system for predicting the maintenance of assets.
