- Hired and led a Platform Engineering team of 4 engineers handling DevEx, SRE, and Security domains.- Created a platform service in 5 months on AWS EKS including Terraform IAC, GitLab CI, Argo CD, and Grafana/OpenTelemetry observability/alerting where none existed before.- Discovered and fixed high severity security issue, then worked to build tooling and process to prevent similar issues.- Collaborated with leadership to set technical direction and standards for all Engineering.- Organized a mentorship program to help engineers learn and grow across experience levels.

Unfortunately short tenure caused by company shutdown, but I was able to accomplish a few things:— Planned out a paved path for (AWS) Kubernetes services.— Deduplicated several parts of the Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code repository.— Organized the postmortem for a large security incident.— Reigned in errant usage of DataDog, accomplishing significant budget savings.

— Spearheaded migration to (Azure) Kubernetes by advising on policy, consulting with each engineering team, and building a tool that automated the creation of Kubernetes and Terraform configurations for 20+ services.— Led the adoption and migration of monitoring, alerting, and observability tools like Prometheus & Grafana, saving the company thousands of dollars and increasing reliability.— Mentored other engineers leading to role growth in their roles/responsibilities and directly helping retain high performing team members.

— Helped ensure smooth launch for Apple TV+ service by monitoring and maintaining incoming service telemetry data.— Built tools to ensure reliable performance for for Apple TV+, Apple Music, and App Store.— Led the group's transition to Kubernetes by packaging applications, authoring configs, building deployment pipelines, and creating monitoring/alerting on new Kubernetes environments.— Built alerting tools and API to enrich, log, and deliver alerts.
