A remote role that was brought on by the pandemic. Stay-at-home orders and social distancing created a sudden need for cloud enabled and remote collaboration software. My peers and I transitioned from our former retail positions to hosting virtual success trainings to our government, healthcare, and educator clients. These are current and prospective users of Microsoft technologies, and we play a vital part in educating organizations on how to achieve more with our technology in a hybridized or completely digital environment. We accomplish this through collaborative Teams meetings as well as broadcasted trainings tailored specifically to the needs of the client. My primary role is to present content via PowerPoint presentation and live demonstration within the chosen application. When I am not the primary presenter, I moderate the chat and Q&A sections of our presentations to provide direct aid to attendees. Other responsibilities include drafting my own presentation outlines and creating content, participating in discovery calls, and supporting other verticals on our team.

In this role I provided customer service to consumer and commercial customers, all of whom utilize Microsoft technologies. My primary duties had me supporting customers through the full process of a PC purchase. Utilizing the showroom at hand I gave product and software advise and guided visitors through hands-on demonstrations to aid in their decision making. In collaboration with the small business unit of our store, I aided local businesses and organizations in finding the right software and hardware solutions. On occasion, I was tasked to go off-site to represent Microsoft and market our products and services while supporting sponsored events. A favorite example includes helping to organize and maintain the Xbox exhibit at Comic-Con 2018.Other duties included providing private personal trainings as well as organizing and presenting public courses on Microsoft technologies. In addition to training adult customers, I was also tasked with teaching introductory STEM courses to classes of up to 15 or more children ages 8+. On weekends, I alternated with other product advisors the responsibilty of organizing and leading in-store gaming tournaments with upwards of 40 attendees.

In this role I provided customer service at the register for consumers as well as construction contractors and their employees. I frequently manned the customer service desk as the primary cashier processing customer returns, rentals, and product/service complaints. Other assigned tasks as a cashier included processing credit applications, restocking and zoning isles, and assisting with unloading the truck deliveries in receiving.
