English:I am a young researcher who finished his PhD in physics on 22/01/2016. My research topic is a theoretical description of the interaction of light with metallic nanoparticles.Outside of my scientific research, I am also busy with computers. I create websites, mostly for myself and friends, but I am also creating 2D & 3D designs and animations.Currently I am working on sensors aimed towards the automotive sector. Meer bepaald ben ik bezig met webdesign, voornamelijk voor eigen interesses of voor vrienden, en 2D & 3D design en animaties.Momenteel werk ik in de auto sector, waar we nieuwe sensoren bouwen waarmee auto's hun omgeving kunnen waarnemen. Ik doe vooral software, maar werk uiteraard nauw samen met de hardware.

As software engineer, it is my duty to make O.S.G. 's software BrainRT and SleepRT smarter. In these medical applications, a variety of signals reaches the software, sometimes in real-time, and need to be processed. The more information the software itself can deduct from the signals, the more precise information we can present the physicians. Therefore the software needs to learn how to identify key symptons, and it is my duty to teach it that.

I got the opportunity to teach 40 wonderfull students in the 5th year ASO (17-18 years old) in Kapellen and Kalmthout. I was contacted on Sunday, got my contract on Monday and started teaching on Tuesday. From zero to 20 hours of contact in classes that had 3, 5 and 7 hours of math per week. These were three fun weeks where I tried to make the absence of the regular mathematics teacher as painless (and fun) as possible for the students.
