My responsibilities at CAPTRUST include analyzing and monitoring investment strategies for the benefit of our discretionary clients, portfolio construction analysis, due diligence on available and current investment opportunities, macroeconomic research and risk management. Additionally, I am responsible for analyzing portfolio performance, monitoring investment market conditions, and developing capital market assumptions. I hold the CFA® designation and CFP® certification and am also a member of the CFA Society Chicago.From an education perspective, I graduated magna cum laude from Valparaiso University, receiving a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance, in December 2010. While at Valparaiso University, I received the Dean’s Diligence Award in 2009. Also, during this time, I was chosen to join a team of select finance students to represent VU at the 2009-10 CFA Global Investment Research Challenge, in which our team went on to become a CFA Society of Milwaukee Finalist. I worked as an intern at Lakeside Wealth Management during 2009 as part of my degree program.Being actively involved in the local community is also important to me and I am a part various community outreach programs through my church. I also served on the Chesterton Town Council, representing the Town’s District 3 from 2010-2015, and the Chesterton Police Commission from 2021-2022.Outside of my work time, I enjoy running the local trails and hiking with my wife and kids in the Indiana Dunes.
