About Nick Walker
At the start on 2023 I embarked on an exciting new career as Director of Built Heritage and Townscape with Iceni Projects. The reframing of my career comes after 18 successful years as a dedicated Team Lead and Project Architect with the same practice, reflects a change in emphasis in my engagement with the built environment, my interest in the fabric of our cities, and a wider strategic focus. Senior Management level experience of leading teams, programming and allocating resources and time, and with a keen interest in finances and business development.Demonstrated history of working collaboratively with Registered Social Landlords and private clients at a number of award-winning practices. I am skilled in Housing Design, Masterplanning, Design Research, Consultation, and Interdisciplinary WorkingI have led a number of multi award winning, large scale urban regeneration projects within Glasgow, which have set out to repair and regenerate the urban fabric at a city scale. I am a team player and work well within multi-disciplinary teams, as well as with complex groups of stakeholders and clients. I have a particular interest in mentoring work colleagues to ensure that we all work together effectively and collaboratively.I am passionate about making our cities more sustainable and more enjoyable to live in, whilst tackling inequalities within housing, the spaces between our buildings and the infrastructure that makes our cities function.
