First job out of college, I loved working there and learned a great deal about manufacturing, engineering, quality practices and of course EH&S. Jarden Zinc is the sole provider of penny blanks to the US Mint and one of the coin blank suppliers to the Royal Canadian Mint. I was part of an unfortunate layoff at the company, but this layoff led me to the profession that I now love, recruiting. Just goes to show that everything happens for a reason even if it doesn’t seem like it at the time.

This was my first "real/professional" job that I ever held other than part-time jobs during school and summer jobs. I learned more during this time then I could have imagined I ever would. I truly believe that internships are a vital part of the college experience in preparing you to enter the workforce after college. The folks at Angus-Palm provided me an excellent learning experience and one that I will always remember.
