I’m an experienced dietitian and sports nutritionist specialising for over 30 years in sports performance nutrition, weight and diabetes management, public health and workplace health. Fundamentally I listen and care, to support you, your clients and your workforce in the way that is best for you to achieve your goals.More about my professional skills and qualities I started my career as a clinical dietitian and lecturer in the NHS, becoming a dietetic service manager before setting up in freelance practice. As a Registered Sports Nutritionist and a BDA Accredited Work Ready Dietitian, I embrace the challenge of working in high performance settings including elite sport, military and airlines amongst others. Qualified in managing health services, skilled in leadership and operations management, I have energy and a clear passion for developing teams and individuals across a range of settings by making scientific theory practical, relevant and accessible to all. I have a long-standing role as an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham where my teaching and research activities focus on sport, health promotion and diabetes management through practical lifestyle interventions. I'm particularly well known for my work in elite sport supporting the development of players and families at Nottingham Forest Football Club and high performance athletes and coaches in a wide variety of other non-Olympic and Olympic sports. I'm proud to have received a Guinness World Record certificate of participation, as part of a multidisciplinary team, designing and implementing the complex nutritional strategy for the fastest cycle across Europe.Sharing my own enjoyment of food, sport and active pursuits, I encourage others to embrace healthy living and to aim high, fulfil their goals and reach their potential.
