Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity is the world’s biggest celebration of creativity in communications. I led the creative team behind Cannes Lions and three other festivals. Experience and responsibilities;• Coordinating / creating the communications strategy for marketing and advertising across all media channels• Managing a team of editors, producers, designers and programmers, plus external advertising and production agencies• Co-ordinating content production and its processes – news, seminar programmes and speaker profiles• Being the brand guardian for the festivals - developing the look and feel over multiple years• Publishing content across print and digital including producing festival video footage and interviews• Coordinating on-site festival branding including billboards, banners, signage and the festival catalogue• Overseeing website systems including scoping, CMS and CRM development• Email marketing and some SEO experience • New product development – I creatively oversaw the launch of two new festivals based in Dubai and Singapore within tight timeframes - the Dubai Lynx and Spikes Asia• Other festivals - Eurobest Awards (a festival which travelled to a different European city each year)

At SAS, I managed a website for BT called Getoutthere - I employed a team of editors, designers and programmers and we produced branded content for the youth market across the areas of music, film, photography and writing. I was also editorially involved with SAS’s other clients such as Bourjois, Foxtons and Jaguar.As Head of Content, I also placed articles on design and technology in a wide range of publications. I also edited many business-to-business marketing materials for SAS, some of which are listed below:

I created copy and taglines for Levi’s seasonal look books aimed at marketing managers and sales teams. I was involved in developing the identities of the different jeans ranges during regular branding exercises.

During this time, I freelanced for many EMAP titles including Sky Magazine, Aloud.com and Max Power, as well as for non EMAP magazines and newspapers, such as Auto Express, Ford Magazine and The Independent, on the subject of motoring. I worked with the newspaper editors to ensure the website copy enhanced the content of the weekly MCN. I also contributed news, reviews and features for EMAP’s other website titles; Q, FHM, New Woman, Carworld, Maxpower and Empire.

My role was to produce the editorial outline for Ford Parts Plus magazine; present the ideas to the client; produce the editorial features, including commissioning writers and photographers; then sub and proof the magazine and manage the printing process.During this time, I interviewed four business leaders for Influence, a magazine focusing on influential Irish business people in Britain.
