Responsible for office management, accounts payable, administration, business travel, brand identity, some HR, project management, sales, client relations, helping and creating organisational programs and presentations in collaboration with the Managing Partners and Business Development and other miscellaneous tasks.Reporting to the Managing partners and serving as a member of the Management Team this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for the company’s functions.Working with the management team and business development team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of company strategies, policies and practices.

My team and I taught and performed salsa as well as organised events and nights with a salsa bias. As founder and head of the Salsaholics my work involved all the marketing, promotion, event management, finance and general PR of the business (including designing flyers, negotiating with suppliers, negotiating with other Salsa companies on the hire of our services etc) and the training of new teachers – in addition to the teaching, performing and choreography side of the company. In recent years we have also expanded into teaching in schools – children from Reception (a specially adapted syllabus aimed specifically at that age group) through to Sixth Form. I also worked as a freelance project/events manager for other promoters within the salsa scene. Including Project Manager for an annual salsa weekend event called The Great British Salsa Experience, which attracted 1,500 dancers from around the world. As well as stage management and reactionary management (resolving problems) at the event, I was heavily involved in all aspects of the organisation during the run up to it - including marketing, website updates, scheduling, artist liaison and vendor management. I also held a similar role for another of the UK’s largest and well known annual salsa congresses called Mambo City 5* Congress.In addition to salsa events – I was also recruited by a number of individuals to plan their weddings and other special occasions.

My responsibilities included:-- Assistant to CEO, being fully involved in all his activities- Control of departmental budget (£150,000)- Ensured CEO was fully up to-date with company developments and activities- Act independently, as well as with CEO, made decisions or referred matters as appropriate- Problem solve, offer creative solutions- Specific project & event management work (International conferences, IT training for Executive PA’s etc)- Research data on specific business issues, utilising network to obtain information quickly and accurately- Act as conduit between CEO and his customers (internal and external)- Diary management, negotiating / prioritising demands- Arrange meetings- Deal with highly confidential and sensitive information- Organised many aspects of CEO’s personal life (paperwork, travel for CEO & his family, holiday planning, diary management, household utilities and resolving household problems etc)
