After 8 years in public accounting and 3 in private accounting I found myself still searching for something that made me jump out of bed each morning. I had just spent the last 2 years working to fully integrate my former client, now employers’ manual Business Accounting System into a computerized system. The system I implemented, was “Great Plains Accounting” (GPA), now Microsoft Dynamics GP."Now this was fun!”But, after the initial rush of the implementation, and with the system humming along I no longer felt challenged, so I started thinking about what if anything I could do about it. Searching for inspiration I started listening to several of the top self-help speakers of the time. I was so MOTIVATED that I began giving serious consideration to exploring opportunities in the self-help industry. To help me think this through I took advantage of a program offered by my Alma Mater to its alumni designed to help evaluate making such a career move. After completing the program I came to the following conclusion; If I were to combine my accounting background with my love for working with Accounting Software Systems I could then satisfy my ‘Self-Help’ itch by helping other end-users to maximize their systems. So in 1993 Balanced Accounting Solutions was born, a Software Consulting Firm whose focus was and still is to exclusively HELP end-users of Microsoft Dynamics GP maximize their ERP System, and hopefully have some FUN doing it!As I begin my 22nd year supporting the clients of Balanced Accounting Solutions I'm Actively Exploring New Opportunities. I would be interested in a position with a major Dynamics GP end-user managing all aspects of their system or in a consulting position with a Microsoft Gold Partner. No matter the opportunity my 22 years of experience along with my energy and enthusiasm for helping users of Dynamics GP will be a solid asset in either position.
