Team Coach
Team Coach and Developer in the Core team. We worked on company-wide projects that would be out of scope for other teams, such as:- Upgraded Hemnet from very old and deprecated versions of Ruby, and Ruby and Rails. This took several months and had to be done in many steps as we were so far behind. We increased developer happiness (measured by internal survey), productivity, and greatly reduced server resource usage and response times.- Refactored legacy code which slowed down feature development in other teams.- Migrated Hemnet from physical hardware to AWS.- Introduced GraphQL.- Introduced Docker development environments.
