Adelaide Convention Bureau is the peak independent body for business events in South Australia. The Bureau’s membership – approximately 200 businesses and service providers – share a common interest in conventions, exhibitions, incentive tourism and much more. The Adelaide Convention Bureau’s role is to provide assistance and guidance to convention and event organisers through every stage of planning, free of charge. The result: a smooth-running, successful and memorable event.As Director of Sales and Marketing I directly oversee a strong team of 7 colleagues who recruit, retain and service clients for the Bureau. The position includes the responsibility of the management, coordination and oversight of activities of the Bureau team to ensure the achievement of a specific sales and marketing objectives in accordance with the business plan.

In October 2015 Australia’s largest sports festival, the Australian Masters Games (AMG) was held in Adelaide. The Games, being run for the fifteenth time, are attracted 12,000 participants across a targeted sport program of 49 sports with the support of up to 1,500 volunteers. • Strategic Consulting - delivered remotely for those sporting clubs that need to plan, deliver and evaluate their High Performance Plans.• European Based operational and logistical support - teams that travel to Europe are given assistance in delivering their programs with 'on the ground' support either during the event or in the lead up to an event. • Athlete monitoring - provide assistance for Australian European based athletes

Basketball Australia is the governing and controlling body for the sport of basketball in Australia. Basketball is an Olympic and Paralympic sport and shares one of the highest international profiles. Australia as a nation is currently ranked as the third in the world by FIBA, there are currently 213 nations playing basketball.Basketball Australia oversees 15 Australian National Teams and a total of 34 medals have been won at official international competition events, these include Olympic & Paralympic Games plus World Championships.Working the high performance environment as Program Manager I was responsible for:Strategic Planning: In consultation with the coaching staff, plan and organize the Boomers, University Men, U19 and U17 calendars and programs.Operations and Logistics: macro plan the junior teams programs for the individual team managers to implement. Micro plan and implement the Boomers program including the daily operations.Marketing and Communications: Assist with the implementation of activating sponsorship both domestically and internationally.Innovation and Technology: Created and implemented a historical component to the Boomers program. Reviewed and restructured the Boomers athlete commitment process, in conjunction with the Head Coach. Introduced new technology for the Boomers coaching staff to communicate with.
