Feedlot & Cattle responsibilities- Ensure profitable operations of the feedlot to optimize feeding parameters.- Manage feedlot and appropriate safety standards and relations with employees.- Prepare short- and long-term operational plans supportive to the feedlot.- Prepare budget and report operational and capital expenditure.- Report of weekly and monthly feedlot performance.- Repair and maintain equipment and structures as per agreed standard and program such as feed & medicine stock, water, yards, buildings etc.- Ensure that all health and safety standards are adhered to and that the working environment is clean, tidy and hygienic for all employees.- Ensure security of all assets including land, livestock produce and inventories.- Efficient and productive personnel management and assessment of staff.- Direct, monitor and evaluate:∙ The production schedule and procedures in order to meet production requirements. ∙ Procedures to protect against the introduction and spread of diseases. ∙ The quality of cattle accommodations (e.g., facilities, pens or stalls, corrals or yards, pastures, and ranges) and the conditions required to maintain cattle health and safety. ∙ Cattle health and welfare procedures. ∙ Procedures for moving cattle.

‐ Coordination of a workforce of 20 semi - skilled farm workers in everyday tasks and maintenance.‐ Field herd management.‐ Maintenance of field herds of 1500 animals (10 - 12 herds) and 1500 feedlot animals. ‐ Maintain fencing, camps, water troughs, feeding places and fields, as well as monitor camp carrying capacity and rotations.‐ Everyday handling of cattle herds.

* Invited and appointed by the Honorable General John Numbi, to start and manage a new breeding program for white lions as well as other exotic wildlife from the ground up to profitable levels.‐The planning, development, construction and subsequent maintenance of the cages and living areas for all animals:Deforestation and ground leveling of areas where cages would be built.Safe, underground foundation casting, molding and strengthening along with steel posts planted for fencing.Soil and plants for habitat resettled over deep foundation.Fencing with reinforcement mounted as well as electrification done.Maintain and correcting any problems or errors obtained.‐Daiy care and feeding of exotic game species including white & ordinary lions, primates, leopards, hyenas, crocodiles, eagles as well as common plains game.‐Daily care of field animals and their management which includesplan breeding schedules & ensure that breeding programs are carried out correctly and sustainablydetermine feed requirements & supplementsmonitor animal health & deal with illnesses / injuries as neededEnsure that the necessary bloodlines are maintainedensure availability / stock of game for resaletake & make multiple orderscoordinate deliveries‐Advertising on different media platforms.‐attend game auctions.‐choreographing game captures, relocations & drug doses.‐culling & animal control if necessary.‐Standard camps and electric fence monitoring in all camps and cages, field carrying power and population control.‐Raising and handling of cubs and primates from the age of two weeks to unmanageable ages (depends on animal type and also their personalities)‐Control of invasive plant species and feed planting if necessary.‐Reservations, inbook & outbook International guests and groups (usually between 10 - 25 people) as well as high class guests.‐Everyday host duties including breakfast, lunch and dinner reception, daily wildlife tours and animal interactions.

Responsibilities & duties ‐ Ensuring the availability of a wide range of quality well cut meat for customers ‐ Preparing custom orders for customers.‐ Maintaining a very high level of hygiene, ethics and professionalism. ‐ Handling payments for meat (and other products) on a daily basis.‐ Handling day to day administrative responsibilities, keeping the shop organised and clean. ‐ Dealing with customer complaints when necessary.‐ Supervising deliveries and making orders, as well as make deliveries to customers.‐ Smoking and smoking schedules, preparation of a variety of deli meats, preparing and making biltong, droëwors, chilli bites, cabanossi, salami etc. ‐ Work extremely well under pressure (Provided Potchefstroom Military base with their orders each month from 2009 – 2012) General & Management skills ‐ Enthusiasm for sales and a strong commitment to customer service. ‐ Helpful and supportive attitude towards customers and colleagues.‐ Ability to project a smart, efficient image to the public.‐ Reliability, honesty and willingness to take responsibility.‐ Numeracy, including the ability to handle cash accurately and swiftly. ‐ Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.‐ Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative in challenging situations. ‐ Awareness of health, safety and security issues.‐ Widely connected to suppliers and retail wholesalers.

‐ Coordination of a workforce of 15 semi - skilled farm workers in everyday tasks and maintenance.‐ Productive and cost-saving logistics management of tractors, combine harvesters, TLBs, loaders, heavy lifting cranes and tri - axle side tippers‐ Ensure basic vehicle and machinery maintenance and standardization every morning before performing any daily tasks.‐ Field herd management:- Maintenance of field herds of 200 animals each (5 - 6 herds)- Maintain fencing, camps, water troughs, feeding places and fields, as well as monitor camps carrying capacity and rotations.- Handling of cattle herds (Simmentallers, Brahmans and Beefmasters)

‐ Site Supervisor & Construction Coordinator for building fully automated, large-scale Big Dutchman laying houses, including deforestation of areas where structures would be erected, ground leveling, foundation casting, molding & strengthening, erection of I - Beam frames and specific Big Dutchman® panels.‐ Retract main power cables from the transformer to the distribution box and then to the machinery. I also did the maintenance and fault finding of the electrical components along with solving and fixing any problems obtained in the building, electricity and machinery.‐ Full-time head manager of 120 workers, electricians and at all times caretaker of various building teams.‐ Check the heavy machinery every morning prior to startup to ensure everything is in order and up to standard for its safe and correct use. The machines include TLBs, excavators, front end loaders, forklifts, heavy lifting cranes and various sizes of trucks and tippers. Also a lot of experience managing and operating each of these machines.(Stationed in Kinshasa, DRC)
