I started working as a scaffold laborer for a company in Sasol Secunda Refinery.While working within the scaffolding industry and engaging with other disciplines I gained basic knowledge about other disciplines in the construction industry such as painting, insulation, steel piping installation, steel structures installation, mechanical installations etc.After a few years and with all the knowledge and experience gained it was time for a change and I was given the opportunity to take on the position of a sub contractor coordinator where I gained even more knowledge and experience in the construction and engineering industry and this where I was introduced to scheduling and planning.Interacting with the planners while working as a coordinator made me interested in planning andI decided to invest in myself and I enrolled for a Planning and Control course using Primavera P6 in 2013, from then my career path changed and I started doing full time project planning.From then I gained knowledge and experience in various environments such as Refineries, Civils Construction, Power Plants, Mining, Overhead Power Lines etc.I learned to adapt to any environment, types of people.I believe that there is always space for improvement.Proud of myself of what I achieved thus far in my career, I never got the opportunity to be sent by a company to go and study something but I learned as I was working and taught myself, took advice from seniors and invested in myself!Where there is a will there is a way is my motto
