With over 7 years of experience in biochemistry and entrepreneurship, I am a recent graduate in Water Engineering Technology at Okanagan College. I have a strong background in laboratory skills, analytical thinking, and research experience in microbiology and molecular biology, which I acquired from my bachelor's and professional degrees in biochemistry from the Universidad de Chile. As a co-founder and manager of a winery and a brewery in Chile, I applied my biochemistry knowledge and skills to design and brew new ale style beers, conduct analysis of grape juice and wine samples, and control beer parameters such as bitterness, color, and alcohol content. I also demonstrated my business acumen and leadership skills by attending local products fairs, establishing regular sales to local businesses, and partnering with local tourism entrepreneurs to distribute our products. My passion for science, innovation, and sustainability motivated me to move to Canada with my wife and pursue a new career path in water engineering. I am eager to apply my background and skills to contribute to the water sector and the environment. I am also interested in learning about new technologies, processes, and regulations in this field. I am looking for opportunities to gain hands-on experience and network with professionals in the water industry.
