Senior Microbiology Analist
Current• Collaborate with leadership to improve laboratory efficiencies, support lab coordination and provide input to method transfer and analytical method validation studies• Prepare media and execute autoclave operation, housekeeping and lab cleanliness per schedule• Prepare, test and report microbiological analysis of raw materials, bulk samples, finished products, stability, and environmental monitoring samples according to USP <61>, USP <62>, USP <2021>, USP <2022> and other House microbiological methods• Ensure all testing and maintenance activities are documented in the appropriate forms / logbooks and records are completed in a timely manner• Validate microbial methods and support validation projects as required• Provide accurate, neat, reliable, complete microbiological analysis reports, including result entry in computerized reports or Laboratory Information Management System, by following approved test procedures and relevant Standard Operating Procedures, which permit proper evaluation of the sample tested• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments and equipment• Ensure laboratory supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available to meet test schedules. Be responsible for material / order management within the microbiology area.• Support planning of day-to-day activities for self and other staff within the microbiology environment• Support investigations as required, microbiology-centric and any actions in support of QA or facility investigations• Responsible for aiding in the training and development of new staff, including students (Microbiology Co-Op Analyst)• Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)• Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions• Other duties as assigned
