After eight years of service in the Air Force, I am determined to continue helping others through the power of the law. Now a third-year student studying the law at Chicago-Kent College of Law, I previously served overseas as a Military Police Officer fulfilling numerous roles while also completing my BS in Criminal Justice. My time in the military taught me that the key to being a successful leader is to first be an effective follower. In order to learn and grow, one must first listen. From there, it is a matter of applying what you learned in a controlled environment to a situation that may seem out of control.Since starting law school, I have gained a passion for litigation and the criminal law. However, I strive to broaden the breadth of my knowledge. I am currently taking the values and skills I garnered in the military and applying them to the field of law by consistently and actively taking the initiative to challenge myself. Through this process, I am determined to utilize my unique experience to make a valuable impact through the law.
