I graduated (MSc degree) in Architectural Engineering at the University of Padua in 2006. Later I received the degree of PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Padua, focusing my research interests on the field of seismic engineering. In particular I have mainly worked on the design and execution of experimental campaigns as well as on numerical and analytical studies to evaluate both the effectiveness and the influence of different strengthening techniques on the dynamic behaviour of masonry structures. The performed research aims at deepening the methodologies to preserve the historical cultural heritage from its decay and especially from seismic damages.I am also working to develop a study on the investigation of both static and dynamic behaviour of anchoring systems, especially for structural and non-structural components, through experimental activities completed by numerical and analytical studies.I had the possibility to strengthen my knowledge about the dynamic behaviour of structural and non-structural components, as well as the effects of an earthquake on both new and historical structures, participating to the survey activities and monitoring studies consequent to both L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia (2012) earthquakes (Italy). The contribution to the management of scientific activities as well as of bureaucratic and economic aspects on both national and international projects allowed me to collaborate with researchers of different Countries and to improve my research and organization abilities and skills. During my PhD (2007-2009) and the subsequent Post Doc Research Fellowships (2010-2013) I also collaborated to teach classes on different University courses of both Civil and Architectural engineering, holding examinations and managing laboratory activities. I also collaborated to the scientific and logistic organization of refresher courses for professional engineers in the field of seismic design of structures.

Management and coordination of laboratory activities for the realization of specimens to be tested on the shaking table at the ENEA Research Centre (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) in Rome (Italy). The mechanical characterization of fastenings will be completed through the design and the execution of experimental tests also on the quasi-static field for the study of both single anchors and adopted materials. In both cases different support typologies (concrete, masonry, plasterboard, etc.) are considered. Development of numerical studies to perform vulnerability and fragility analyses to extend the obtained results to several typologies of non-structural components on different configurations. University responsible for the relationship with the Company funding the actual research and supervisor of a PhD student working on this topic and of some master students working for their final thesis. I am collaborating to teach classes on the courses of “New Constructions in Seismic zones” and “Structural Problems of Historical Constructions” also holding examinations and managing laboratory activities. Design of an experimental campaign for the dynamic characterization of anchoring systems installed both on concrete and masonry supports. This study led also to draft a technical manual focused on the fastening methodologies in structural and non-structural fields, with some sections specifically related to theoretical and normative aspects and to the design process of anchoring systems.Dynamic identification activities (experimental and numerical identification procedures and numerical simulations) were also performed within a project of bilateral collaboration between Italy and Japan. This partnership, begun during my previous Post Doc Research Fellowship, allowed the cooperation with the University of Nagoya to be continued, also through a collaboration stay of 8 days in Japan to coordinate the scientific bilateral collaboration and to develop innovative analyses of model updating. Organization and participation to the symposium “Preservation of Architectural Heritage: Research and Application” at the Nagoya City University for the dissemination of obtained results.I also collaborated to the economic and bureaucratic management of both mentioned projects.Collaboration to seismic assessment and monitoring activities of historical structures after the Emilia earthquake occurred on May 20th and 27th 2012.I was involved as assistant teacher within the International Master course SAHC (Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions) also holding a course at the University of Barcelona and some lessons of the degree course in Architectural Engineering. I strongly contributed to the scientific and economic management of this project. I also contributed to draft a formal collaboration agreement between the Nagoya City University and the University of Padua. This also allowed the participation of four Italian students which fulfilled their Thesis during a three-month stay at the Nagoya City University.I was involved as assistant teacher within the International Master course SAHC (Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions) also holding the lessons of some courses in Padua.
